Dog foods that publish no guaranteed analysis

Captured

US labels must carry a guaranteed analysis, but nothing compels a brand to put it on its website. These recipes don't. That is not a hole in our data — it is a fact about theirs, and it is the reason every table on this site draws a hatch where a number is missing instead of quietly leaving a blank.

of these 9, and we name every manufacturer

Ordered by calorie density, highest first; formulas whose manufacturer publishes no figure come last. Bars span the full 122-formula range rather than this page's, so a bar here means what the same bar means anywhere on the site. Hatched cells are values the manufacturer does not publish. Who publishes nothing, and what that does and does not mean

Every other page on this site is a list of numbers. This one is a list of absences, and it is deliberately built to the same size.

A US label must carry a guaranteed analysis. Nothing compels a manufacturer to put that panel on its website, and these recipes are sold in a way — subscription, direct-to-consumer, portioned to the individual dog — where a buyer often never sees a pack before ordering. The panel exists. It is simply not somewhere a buyer can read it before paying.

What this page does not say is that these are bad foods, that they are unsafe, or that anything is being concealed. Several are well-regarded recipes from brands with clean recall records. It says one thing: as captured on the date above, these numbers were not readable on the manufacturer's own public pages, so we do not print them. Filling the cells from a retailer listing or a competitor's database would make the table look complete and make it unverifiable, which is the trade this site exists to refuse.

If you feed one of these, the panel on the pack is the source, and it outranks every website — this one included.

9 formulas from 2 brands match this filter today. 0 publish a guaranteed analysis, 4 a calorie statement, 5 an ingredient list and 0 an AAFCO nutritional adequacy statement. Not one of them publishes a protein figure, so there is no dry-matter range to state.

How membership is decided

Membership is determined only by what the manufacturer publishes on its public product pages, as captured on the date shown. It is not a judgement about the food, and several of these are well-regarded recipes.
